From Occult to True Light
A journey toward Scripture-governed service
Anthony A. Jones is the Founder & President of CRi ALOUD, a Christian ministry centred on testimony, Scripture, prayer, biblical restoration, discipleship, and helping people understand their identity and allegiance in Jesus Christ. He is also a professional educator and former public school principal in Alberta, Canada.
Anthony’s own journey moved from rejecting the faith lessons of his childhood and pursuing a self-directed path toward a renewed encounter with the Bible that led into sustained study, prayer, fasting, Bible teaching, preaching, church leadership, and ministry formation. Through CRi ALOUD, he emphasizes identity before warfare, submission before resistance, Scripture before speculation, and restoration after conviction.
Searching on his own terms
Anthony grew up with church lessons, yet for a period deliberately rejected the faith of his childhood and chose a self-directed path. He pursued achievement through education, travel, finance, ambition, relationships, and organizations he believed would move him toward the life he wanted.
A disruption that exposed deeper questions
The economic crisis of 2008 challenged his confidence in earthly security. Anthony rebuilt and eventually reached much of what he had expected to achieve, but success did not answer the deeper questions of meaning, identity, health, and spiritual purpose that remained.
A renewed encounter with the Bible
An unexpected invitation to a Christian event led into repeated Bible study and serious questions about Scripture, God, history, and the future. Anthony returned night after night, studying rather than accepting a claim merely because it was religious. That process became a turning point.
Study, prayer, and ministry formation
Anthony committed himself to sustained Bible study, prayer, fasting, and building a relationship with God. He began teaching Bible lessons, preaching, serving in church leadership, and pursuing Religious Studies to deepen his ministry formation.
What the story is actually about
This testimony is not an invitation to copy Anthony’s conclusions without examination or become fascinated with former darkness. It is an invitation to keep Jesus Christ at the centre, distinguish experience from later research, test spiritual claims by Scripture, repent where conviction is warranted, receive restoration, and walk forward in faithful service.
